Members of Israeli Occupation's Knesset have expressed concerns on Friday over the military's current plan for a ground incursion into Lebanon, according to reports.

Some Knesset members described the plan as flawed and warned that it could lead to a disastrous failure with unprecedented consequences.

They criticized the plan for not addressing the mistakes made during the ground operation in Gaza.

The border between Israeli Occupation and Lebanon has seen almost daily exchanges of fire between the military and Hezbollah since the aggression in Gaza began on October 7.

The assassination of Hamas political leader Ismail Haniyeh came just hours after the military killed senior Hezbollah commander Fuad Shukr in Beirut, further heightening fears of an expanded conflict.

Hezbollah's Secretary-General, Hassan Nasrallah, warned Israeli Occupation on Thursday that it should expect a response, stating that retaliation is inevitable.

Later that night, Hezbollah announced it had fired "dozens" of rockets into north of Israeli Occupation in retaliation for an airstrike in southern Lebanon that killed four Syrian refugees. This marked Hezbollah's first attack since Shukr's assassination on Tuesday.

In response, the Israeli Occupatiton military launched airstrikes on the site in southern Lebanon from where the rockets were fired and shelled targets in the villages of Rmeish and Ramyah.

The assassinations of Haniyeh and Shukr are seen as significant developments that have further escalated regional tensions amid the ongoing aggression in Gaza.

Following Haniyeh's assassination, Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to exact "severe punishment" on Israeli Occupation, declaring it a duty to avenge Haniyeh's death.
